Shoveling snow is good exercise for the young, but after a certain age it only makes sense that a snow blower be used to clear that mass of stuff blocking your sidewalk. There are two kinds of snow blowers.
If you live in an area which gets a great deal of snow, you probably own a snow shovel and get a lot of exercise shoveling all that beautiful white stuff off your sidewalks. If you’re fit, then certainly you’ll have no problem with that shoveling…unless you’ve got three sidewalks and a driveway to do! Everyone reaches a point when its best if they don’t do that kind of hard physical activity – and that’s where the snow blower comes in.
All you need to do is walk behind the snow thrower and allow it to pull itself along. Don’t try to push it or hurry it. It works best at it’s own speed. For maximum safety, keep your hands, feet, and other body parts away from the auger, discharge garbage chute door, chains, gears, and the other moving parts of the machine. If a tree branch or other object gets stuck in the auger, shut the blower off first before attempting to remove it. Make sure the auger has completely stopped. Even then, never attempt to remove a clog with your fingers; use a long stick instead.
12) Attend networking events such as those organized by the PCG or the BCS. Perhaps you could organize a reunion or other event. Schedule a time to get together for drinks with colleagues who worked at a particular site with you. The people you invite will invite others and as they may have similar skills to you and may know of some work going at the companies they work for.
8) Send out a fresh online batch of resumes to extra agencies each week. More and more companies operate with chutes parts lists, and if you are not on the books of the chutes parts agency, you will not be considered. Therefore, it’s suggested that you be on the books of as many agencies as possible.
There is also a variety of mini agility equipment that can be purchased, and don’t require the same space as standard equipment. There are mini-teeters, mini-dog walks, and mini-A-frames. These are great obstacles for puppy training or indoor winter training.
